Get to Know Phrom Phong
Loosely defined as the area between Sukhumvit Road’s Soi 31 to Soi 41 up to Phetchaburi Road in its northern half, and extending from Sukhumvit Soi 22 to Soi 30 down to Rama IV Road in its southern section, Phrom Phong lies directly between Asoke and Thong Lor.
Phrom Phong’s allure stems from the convenient and desirable lifestyle it can provide. With high-quality residential options, fun entertainment venues, and seemingly limitless choices when it comes to dining out, it’s a neighbourhood that offers a little bit of something for everyone.
Packed full of upscale shopping malls filled with top-shelf fashion outlets and world-class restaurants serving up a host of international cuisines, it’s undoubtedly one of Bangkok’s most exclusive districts. You’ll also find plenty of ultra-modern skyscrapers that house a mix of opulent residential and office space that make this a desirable area for business professionals and their families.
However, it’s not all big brands and corporate images. In fact, along many of Phrom Phong’s tree-lined avenues and away from the commercialised zones, it offers independent bistros, quirky coffee shops, and local boutiques, making it pleasantly balanced. Add to that the ease of transportation thanks to the centrally located Phrom Phong BTS station, and it becomes pretty easy to see why living in this part of Bangkok is so appealing.
So, what happens once you’re sold on the area? Naturally, you’ll want to find somewhere to stay, though things can quickly become complicated when pets are involved. If truth be told, trying to find a pet-friendly building in Bangkok can become quite troublesome if you don’t know where to begin.
That’s where we can help. For more than a decade, Bangkok Condos has been assisting private and corporate clients alike find the perfect pet-friendly homes. We are one of Bangkok’s top providers of real estate services, and we have hundreds of successful transactions under our belt. Not only do we have the industry knowledge to find pet-friendly accommodation in Phrom Phong. With that in mind, let’s check out our first recommended property in Phrom Phong that is sure to appeal to pet owners looking for a touch of luxury.

All rooms offer Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, kitchenettes, Nespresso machines, and washer/dryers, while the one-and-two-bedroom apartments include separate living spaces, and some units also come with a balcony.
KATA Boutique Residence
If you prefer the vibe of low-rise contemporary developments, then perhaps the KATA Boutique Residence is more to your tastes. Built in 2018 and set right in the mix of things in the busy Sukhumvit Soi 22, this stylish building boasts 30 exclusive apartments in various sizes with two-and-three-bedroom units to choose from.
The rooms here come fitted with modern kitchen spaces, dining areas, living rooms, balconies, and separate bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Pet owners will be happy to know that all pets up to 10kg are allowed with no extra fees.
While maybe not quite as convenient as the Oakwood Suites in terms of amenities, places like The Emporium and Phrom Phong BTS Station are still only about a ten-minute walk away, and there are enough bars and restaurants around to keep you entertained. Living at KATA, you can spend time unwinding by the pool, stretching out in the yoga room, exercising in the gym, or just lounging in the Communal Club.
Aguston Sukhumvit 22
If you’re looking for a pet-friendly condo in Phrom Phong, then Aguston Sukhumvit 22 could be the answer. Completed in 2009, the building is slightly older than our first two recommendations, but thanks to the well-planned building management operations of Major Development, the same developers behind the highly sought-after MARQUE Sukhumvit, it is still in excellent condition.
While the building does allow pets up to 14kg, this condominium development gives unit owners the final say over whether pets are permitted into the rooms. This means if you plan to buy a condo in the building, you have complete control to bring your pet with you, so long as you follow the developer’s guidelines. However, if you plan to rent a condo, you must check with the unit owner if they accept pets before signing a lease.
Facilities at Aguston Sukhumvit 22 include 24-hours security with CCTV, a swimming pool, a sauna, a gym, a kids’ playground area, and a garden equipped with a BBQ. In terms of its location, the name is a bit of a clue. The building sits on the same street at KATA Boutique Residence, Sukhumvit Soi 22, albeit about 650m further south, or roughly a ten-minute walk. That means that to reach Phrom Phong BTS takes nearly twice as long, so approximately twenty minutes on foot. The same goes for The Emporium and The EmQuartier, but there are other closer options when it comes to groceries, such as Tops Market Sukhumvit 24, which is only a five-minute walk away
